Given the day that was lined up for these guys, it was a great idea they tanked up on whatever they could. Not that they are new to this but man, they had one helluva day ahead of them! After a breakfast of champions, a recce of the venue was in order.
This was the first time that the riders were stepping on to the hallowed India Gate Lawns. This is the place where they will literally take off, multiple times. The setting and the surrounding once checked, it was off to examine their machines, next.
HOA. No, that’s not us being surprised.
HOA stands for the Haryana Olympic Association. Their vision is to create a conducive environment and culture in which the youth will be encouraged to develop their full potential as sportspersons. Also, to promote excellence in sports through the collaborative efforts of Government, sports bodies, private sector and community at large.
This organization was kind enough to host a dinner for our riders. It was here that they caught up with some of the local athletes.
You know what they say in this part of the world guys. ‘HOAs before bros.’
